Giants for God

God gave me this lesson to teach on Sunday. It was an amazing moment because many visions and words God gave me in the past came together and just made sense. Last week we talked about how you can not love others well if you do not love yourself. This is what started me thinking, and lead to me sharing this today. When I started planning out this lesson, God showed me a dog inside of a box like contraption. Not understanding , I googled it and found that a scientist named Seligman conducted an experiment on dogs. He placed an electric current on one half of the box and put a wall up in the middle. Seligman put a dog in the electrified half of the box. After some time he removed the wall giving the dog the opportunity to move to the unelectrified half of the box. However, the dog remained where he was because he felt trapped in his situation. When we are saved, it is like God has removed the wall and gives us full access and opportunity to live in the spirit, but we choose to stay where we are because of the hold satan has on our lives. We give satan way more power than he ever deserves.

A couple of months ago, I read a book by C. S. Lewis called The Screwtape Letters. This book is all about the ways satan attacks. I read this book in one night. I felt as though it was leaked information from the enemy lines. In response to this, God gave me a vision of satan working incredibly hard to stack blocks beneath our feet. He was building a tower of fear doubt and division. However, this tower was no ordinary tower. Blocks were stacked on there corners and off centered. It’s almost impossible that the thing is standing up. Standing on top of this tower, it would not take nearly any effort to topple all that satan has built. So why do we stay there… and what are the areas in our lives that you stay on that platform for? You know these areas because everytime it is brought up it sends you spinning. It begins to sound like a broken record, or like your stuck in the issue AGAIN. These areas rob you of getting to be what God has called you to be. It's like trying to get ready in the morning without a mirror, just like you can not see the fullness of who God says you are. You can see some things but other things you can't. You also can not use anyone else's mirror. He did not create them like he created you, so this also taaints the view we see. This is why you need God’s mirror.  When you see what God calls you, you can not help but fall in love with who he has created you to be. 1 John 4:18 says “ There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears has not seen perfect love.” Fear is so prevalent in our society and is a big reason we remain on top of the platform satan has built. But God has literally placed us in a town of peace. This town is called Sundown. At sunset, people are resting or going to bed. This is a perfect symbol of peace and rest. We have not been created to live on top of satan's plans in a place that is created for peace. After satan built this tower, i saw the person on top slowly stand up and lean… the tower crumbled and turned to dust as it fell. Burying satan and all his tricks in the wake. Seeing the truth and believing it leads to freedom from this tower. When you decide to no longer allow satan to have the power he does not have you are literally taking a step into freedom, and you can be Giants for God.

Go forth and conquer for the world is small and you are the giant and in every step you take the ground will shake as it rises to meet you.
